1 of Us will always be grateful for the friendship and support of the late Minhthu Nguyen, DDS. An early supporter of the 1 in 9 mission to assist breast cancer patients, Dr. Minhthu hosted numerous fund raising events for us, including the annual donation and Family Fun Day, at her Gentle Family Dentistry practice in Wake Forest. Dr. Minhthu and team also supported the Pink Shamrock 5K that benefitted 1in9.

Dr. Minhthu’s philanthropy extended deep into the community. She donated more than $100,000 to the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center at UNC Hospitals. She also performed pro-bono dental work for breast cancer patients.

On September 8, 2015 we lost Dr. Minhthu at the end of a four-year fight with breast cancer. She is forever missed by her family, her staff and her patients. She was truly 1 of Us.
