1 of Us has expanded its patient reach by partnering with Vidant Health Care in Greenville, North Carolina. 1 of Us has committed to granting the Vidant Medical Care Foundation $30,000 in 2016 and 2017, to provide non-medical financial assistance for patients with women’s cancers.
This exciting partnership not only allows 1 of Us to broaden its geographical reach, it allows us to serve a part of the state of North Carolina with higher-than-average cancer rates. In Eastern North Carolina, a patient is diagnosed with cancer every 77 minutes. And many of those diagnoses are in the later stages of the disease. When cancer is caught earlier, people live longer.
